Mondeo radio driving me crazy

I recently bought a 2012 Ford Mondeo Business Ed. Great car but the radio is driving me mad. It's constantly dropping signal and going fuzzy. It's the satnav setup so there's no actual aerial on the roof. I had a 2007 Mondeo previously with an aerial on the roof and had no problems. I have AF turned on so that's not the problem.

Could it be a faulty gps, bearing in mind the satnav works fine?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm having similar with a 2012 Civic with Satnav that I dropped to a garage yesterday for a regular service and queried the issue(they are a Honda dealer, bit surprised they couldn't do it themselves) and they gave me a number of a guy in Galway called Declan Ferns - http://www.carinteriordesign.ie/. The garage believes the issue is to do with regional settings or something on the Audio unit since it's a UK import. I haven't a chance to contact him yet, but it might be a similar line you could follow up on.
