    The Dáil is still off too, so there isn't as much to report. Also, a lot of RTE staff are likely to have taken annual leave to coincide with the school holidays.

    Reeling in the Years is better than the news anyway.

    The fact that RTE went through an awkward gender pay difference scandal might have something to do with the current paucity of men at the news desk. No awkward gender difference wanted so they get rid of the men.
