    Hi,

I would love some recommendations for a holiday for two adults somewhere in Europe for August. The holiday is primarily a stress-relieving one!

Requirements being (1) nice pool (2) nice scenery (3) golf course nearby or located on one (4) not in an area with loads of noisy night-life (5) within an hour of an airport.

The budget would be about 2000 for the accommodation for 6/7 nights.

We just cant decide on an area!

One of my favourite relaxing holidays to date was at the Lopesan Villa del Conde in Meloneras, gran canaria. Great pools, about 30-45 mins from the airport, by the sea. It's one of the quieter, more upmarket resorts in Gran Canaria, there isn't really any night life around the hotel. There is a shuttle bus to several golf courses directly from the hotel, don't know if they are any good though. Not sure if it meets your requirements for nice scenery, maybe have a look online. Should be easily doable within your budget (book directly on their website).

How about a cruise ? With the exception of the golf course it ticks all your boxes. I've dealt with these and found them to be excellent. www.visioncruise.co.uk You can get adults only cruises and do as little or as much as you want. You can mix or not mix, lie by the pool or stay in your cabin and have all your meals taken care of by room service.

Thanks! I had a look at the cruises and saw that they didn't really fit around our dates. In relation to the hotel at Meloneras, it looked fab! I had a peek at other hotels in the area and found another right next door to it, which was a bit cheaper, but just as nice! Provisionally booked now, but we can change if needs be :)
