Exchanging a UK licence for an Irish licence

5 years ago I got my Irish Learner Permit then subsequently moved to the UK. When I was there I got a UK learner permit then passed my full test. I have an appointment tomorrow with NDLS to exchange UK for Irish and was wondering if I need to bring my Old Irish Learner Permit with me? If so I've searching to do!

    Thanks!

You should if you can find it but it won't be necessary as long as they can find your old file in the database - they will just want to apply your foreign full licence entitlements to your Irish driver number - it's like your PPS number, you will only ever have one.

It would be handy for you because you would be able to use it as your photo ID.

Thanks for that! I don't particularly want to spend hours searching for it :)
