Pro tip for anyone selling or even buying an exp naive item. Arrange to meet in a Garda station lobby. They don’t mind and it’ll protect you and the buyer.

Have a phone up for sale and got a message from someone wanting to buy it. They were pushing me to meet in a hotel car park and there was something about their writing style that started my senses tingling.

I asked them were they over 18 and they said no. So I suggested meeting in the Garda station which was down the road from the hotel they said.

I thought it would protect them as a minor meeting a stranger off the internet and also protect me for the same reasons as well as prevent being robbed.

They were insisting on the car park an me insisting on the Garda station and then they backed out.

Could be an innocent reason for it but I think I dodged a bullet.

This is something the gardai should accommodate on a large scale.
