Hi, i am replacing some pipes at home and a bit confused about size.

1 - need to replace old pipe from the main source of cold water to kitchen tap and water tank. What size of pipe and specifications?

2 - Need to replace pipe from hot water cylinder to kitchen hot tap. Which size and specifications?

Given the lack of replies from actual plumbers here's my answer right or wrong.

1 - 1/2 inch. Its under mains pressure so hopefully good flow rate and your supply is probably only 1/2 inch anyway

2 - many are done in 1/2 inch but if you have a low head of water (low pressure) 3/4 inch would be better.

Both can be qualpex but the first meter of pipe from the HWC should be in copper.
