Hi all. Planning on getting slurry out on silage ground as soon as the weather improves. Is nitrogen ( can ) the best to spread along with slurry or 18.6.12. ? Usually just put out fert on this ground and slurry grazing ground. Which is best ti spread first?

I'd always go with slurry first anyway. I'd never use can on silage ground, unless you've excellent soil sample results and spread your p and k in the autumn. I'd top up with cutsward 24-2.5-10 3r4bags to the acre depending on the volume of slurry gone out, the existing growth and time of year.

In a similar situation. Is there a period of time the ground should be left before spreading the fertilizer after putting slurry on the same ground

Think Urea is 1 week after slurry, but CAN & NPK’s can be straight away
