Question in relation to network coverage on Huawei phones...

I'm 'investigating' my next phone and as part of that I've watch a hundred and one YouTube videos. In one or two there was mention of poor coverage on previous versions (pre mate 10 pro) but for it to be too early to say if it has been resolved.

So this got me thinking, missus had the P9 and currently has the P10 ... and she constantly looses people during phone call, like her coverage comes and goes...as in you can't her her for 2-5secs and then she's back and then you can't hear her again...

So has anyone else experienced this? Also interested to hear if the mate 10 pro is suffering from this too...

Check the devices network bandwidths versus the network provider she is on.

    That will tell you all.

Thanks... How do I go about that. It was bought on Vodafone and she is Vodafone...

But the concern is related to the next phone I get too if it is an issue with huaweis in general then it will have a bearing n my next phone choice

According to https://www.kimovil.com and checking all versions of the P10, it looks to have all the band's necessary to work here without issues?

I've the P10plus and had the P8 previously, I've never experienced any problems with Huawei. I'm on 3 and I also have also used an eir and a Vodafone sim in the second sim slot.

I did a lot of research on the P10/P10 plus last year before I bought it, and connectivity for voice and data, and call quality were my top 2 requirements. In many of the reviews I watched on youtube, these aspects were remarked on positively in quite a few, these would have influenced my decision and its not one I regret.

Bought a Y6 2017 last September as a stop-gap and have stuck with it. Not a top of the range model, but its worked grand. Was on iD and now eir - no issues with either.

    Not really, no.

Incompatible bands it would either work or not work, not work unreliably. Unreliable service is more down to poor antennas or baseband fw.

Huawei have built towers for a while but their handset tech is playing catch-up with Qualcomm.
