Turas nua! What is this??

    Hi everyone!

I have been filling in the X’s and O’s dockets for about a year and a half! I do not get much money off them but keep them going as my hours go down at work in January and the process was so long to get on this scheme I just kept it going! I got a letter from Turas nua regarding a meeting I must attend! I emailed them to let them know I am ironically working during the day of this meeting and they said I did not have to attend as I am filling out dockets and am employed but they did want to schedule a one on one! I let them know I am working and will let them know when I am free. I thought they sounded nice until I got a missed call and a text asking about the letter the following day! I emailed again and I got the same response! I went to work and while I was working only about four hours after my last contact with them they rang and text me again! I have had my job three years so I’m very confused by it! I do not get much from the dockets so will stop filling them out but will they leave me alone! Anyone else have any experiences or advise to give!

If you sign off the JSA completely then you can totally ignore them.
    Do you have dependent kids?

Could you take an hour off work to meet with them? Get an early morning appointment? Seems a shame to come off the scheme when you took ages to get on it.

Be very wary of this organisation, there's plenty of threads on boards about them, I'd also recommend talking to others off of boards, to get as much information as possible before proceeding with them. My turas Nua survival guide:

Get a new phone/SIM, in your case, you may need to get a new personal phone/SIM, and to transfer all your personal communications to this new phone/SIM, and only use your old phone/SIM for turas Nua communications. Discard this phone/SIM upon completion of the turas Nua/joppath process.

Create a new email address, if you have already shared your existing address with turas Nua, continue to use it, but only exclusively during the process, i.e. consider creating a new address exclusively for personal use, and delete the turas Nua address upon completion.

Record and save all communications with turas Nua, secretly if possible, including phone calls.

At beginning of the process, you will be assigned a one on one person, they will begin by asking you a questionnaire, which will include work related questions and activities but also personal questions, some very personal. If needs be, lie!

If you find full time employment yourself, without the help of turas Nua, and have completely signed off welfare, ignore all communications from them thereafter.

    Best of luck

Not allowed, you must inform the person you are recording.

And what would happen if they found out?

anything recorded cannot be used without their consent and if it is, Data Protection ?. They may tell you they do not wish to be recorded and end interview if you insist on recording.

Again, what would happen if a person recorded another without their consent?

It's important to realise, I and others have done this, on many occasions, and I'm still sitting here typing this, with no adverse affects!

I don't think that applies to the individual, everyone is going around recording everything nowadays, no permission sought

    This is going off topic.

The OP is considering signing off their entitlement.

Arrange a meeting for a time that suits. Even if you have to meet them on a work day, painful as that would be it'd still make economic sense to meet them in the long term.

Wrong. Once you are part of the conversation then no consent is required.

Just tell them all your calls are recorded. If they don't want to proceed, it's not your fault.

There are multiple threads here about them demanding you sign a "contract" under penalty of doom. Do not sign it. As others have said, there are lots of threads here about them. TAKE TIME AND READ THEM.
