I joined eir a few months ago on their mobile broadband 25gigs a month for 20euro and it's ok. I have 4g sometimes but it's not as fast as 4g on my Vodafone phone. I might join three again as they have a good plan at the moment. Is their 4g fast? Would I be better off buying a phone from them and using tethering. I'm not spending more than 20 euro a month on it

Just joined Three, getting 20mbps down and 10 up. I’m in Cork, just outside the city.

Heard it's good near the city. I'm in tipperary, near limerick city. Had three before and it was ok,didn't have 4g though. Need it a bit faster,im only getting 2 mbps from eir,had around 3mbps from three and getting 13mbps from Vodafone but only have 10 gig limit. Might go back to three but don't know should I get a phone or their mobile broadband thing

Buy a B593 or E5186 off the shelf.

3 Mobile broadband, got the Huawei B525 router for free, then its €30 a month for fully unlimited usage. (750gb fair usage obvs but nobody hits that) The router itself comes with two antennae which are excellent, and regularly pick up 4G+ for myself. I live ~2/3kms from the mast however so not sure how close the mast is for you.

There is a few masts around me but they would be 5 or 6 km away.i like the sound of three unlimited package but im wondering if I got a 4g phone would I be better off. It would be 20euro a month and might be as good as the hotspot. I'm paying enough for my Vodafone phone package and don't want too many bills.

If you buy the Three modem online you can return it within 14 days if you are not happy with it. This only applies to items ordered online & delivered by courier.

I've had three before and are good to deal with. Im undecided whether to get a phone and tether it with everything or get the mobile hotspot though. Don't know which is better

I've got a sim from Three on that prepaid 20e deal.
Will it work with that device? or will I have to get one just for moblie broadband?
