For anyone who doesn't know what clockwork orange is it was a smear campaign by MI5 and the Northern Ireland press office (whose job was to spread disinformation in the press as part of a psychological warfare campaign against the Provisional IRA) in the 70s launched against politicians in Britain including Harold Wilson then British prime minister.

An MI5 agent named Colin Wallace who was involved in the operation tried to expose the plot and was later convicted of killing a man and hiding the body.

How much do you think MI5 influence public opinion today? Does MI5 control everything in Britain?
