Tracker Mortgage Compensation Question

Just wondering what people affected are getting in relation to the tracker mortgage scandal.

    My "friends" situation:

1 house - Mortgage taken out in 2006

Mortgage split in 2 - on the advice of accountant!

1 mortgage: tracker rate on 35k

2nd mortgage: fixed rate on 90k

Letter from AIB saying we should have been offered tracker on the fixed rate mortgage for duration of mortgage.

    Received compensation €1615

    - €1000 compensation & €615 towards "independant advice"

Anyone else in this boat and is it worth appealing? If there is any information or websites with more info on this my friend would be grateful ?

    Cheers!
