2005 Ford Focus hot driver footwell. Any suggestions?

    Hi all,
I recently got a 2005 Focus but have noticed that the side of the centre console in drivers footwell and underside of steering column get very hot after 20-30 minutes of driving.  The heater and A/C and fans are all working fine and there doesn't appear to be any leaks etc. From what I can tell the heat starts at one spot near the base of the console, where I think there is a pipe(s?) coming from engine and then spreads out from here. I suspect the issue is one of these pipes?
Any suggestions to cause and what can be done to sort it and should I be worried?

    Thanks

I only read recently about someone having the same problem.
    I think it is normal.
The heater matrix pipes run by the driver foot well.
That's what I think was the answer ,I'll try dig up a link for ya.

Thanks, hopefully I don't need to worry about it though it does seem way to hot to be normal. Fingers crossed.
