Motor tax online issues

    Hi.

    I'm currently trying to declare my vehicle off the road. The current tax disc expires this month - March.

    I recieved the tax renewal email giving me the pin to log in to pay for new motor tax.

    On the website itself, if I log in with the reg number and the pin that was emailed (which is the last 6 digits on the logbook), it will let me log in no issue.

    Howeve, if I try and log in to declare off the road with the exact same details. It is giving me an error saying my details are incorrect.

    The vehicle was imported and taxed accordingly upon payment of VRT so has never been declared off the road before, but I don't see this being an issue.

    I'd be interested to see if anyone else can access the portal to declare off the road.

    I will contact them tomorrow by phone to see what can be done but as it is the last day of the month, Im concerned my options are limited.

    I could complete an RF150, sign it, scan it and email to them but I dont know if they will accept this method.

    Any advice welcome.

    Call them. It takes minutes to do so they may require you to call in.
