Hi, just looking at Audi A4's for sale in Ireland. I have one question please. Why are most A4's in official dealers all 120bhp whereas most of the imported cars are 136, 150 or 177 bhp?

Cheaper motor tax on the 120bhp.

I thought they would all be in the €200 tax bracket. Sorry meant to say I am looking at 141 to 152 A4's

The lower powered ones cost a bit less to buy brand new due to lower VRT and the Irish tend to buy the cheapest variation or spec of most cars when brand new.

It's one thing that always turned me off a4s the huge amount of 120bhp ones for sale compared to what they really should be.
An a4 should be 170 bhp region.

Blah blah stupid Paddy and his chape tax. Nothing to do with Audi Ireland taking the piss when it comes to pricing.
