    Hi all,
since monday we have problem with our heating system.Works as it should upstairs but doesnt work downstairs.I swapped wall thermostats and still no joy so its not the wall thermostat. We have oil burner outside and upstairs radiator close to burner is hot within few minutes.Pipes coming to radiators are stone cold so I think could be pump but I dont know where to look?Is there anything I can check myself?
I rang landlord but she is on holidays so we have possibilty that we will have no heating during easter  .
I can provide pictures later with burner outside and hot press upstairs
    Thanks

Your circulation pump is probably <MOD Snip> . broken

In this scenario the upstairs radiators will still likely heat up due to circulation of the water by convection but the downstairs ones will not. I've seen this happen.

A new pump costs about €80. Probably another €80 to fit it.

That is a good point on the zoning.

One of your motorised valves could be <MOD snip>. broken

MOD note to poster: Clean up your language or don't post here again.
