Partial Circumcision?

Just wondering if any lads had it done as an adult for cosmetic reasons or medical as the only reason I had it done was due to injury. A few weeks back I was hospitalised from pneumonia and had a catheter inserted. Long story short was out of it on meds for three days in the hospital while fighting the infection and due to what I can only put to down to as neglect I ended up with a small portion of my foreskin being pinched from the “piss tube” and having what I’m assuming is a partial circumcision.

It doesn’t seem to be overly common from researching it online. Never had any foreskin issues like phimosis, about 90% of the glands covered when fully soft and maybe 30% when hard or would go back by itself when aroused. Sex or masterbation was never uncomfortable. Only just healed now and I’m not fully sure if I like the look of it. Also I’m yet to test drive it out on a lady. Have masterbated and it’s not hugely different from what I did have before.

Any lads on here had similar experiences?

Never heard of that TBH IanB. Just thinking of the basic mechanics of catheters(ouch) and I can't see how one would cause an issue with the foreskin? Urethra trauma maybe, but foreskin? Maybe medical chaps or chapesses out there could illuminate?

However personally speaking I'd be thinking if it still works the way it did I'd not be having a surgeon's knife near it. As for the looks, let's face it IanB the old chap is hardly the pinnacle of beauty as it is. :D That's one reason why Classical Greek and Roman sculptures had tiny willies.

That said, if I had undergone a medical procedure and an unrelated to my condition issue arose because of that I would be asking WTF and I'd be asking it of the medical staff who treated you. If nothing else to make sure no longterm medical issues might arise because of it. And to make sure it doesn't happen to someone else. FWIW I have found that things have changed a lot in that regard and medical folks are much more open to such questions precisely because they are constantly looking at whatever means to improve treatments. If nothing else - and folks can often forget this - medical people are also going to be patients themselves at some stage in their lives.

PS good to hear you got over the pneumonia and you're on the mend IanB. A nasty dose indeed and one that is all too often fatal.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

When I'd a hip operation done the first time alright I woke up and looked down there, I thought they were after lining up in the operating theatre to give me a good kick in the nads they were that black with bruising! Immediately I asked the doctor wtf happened there and I was told they'd to put a cup on it, I'm guessing it was a "one-size fits all" job!

I had the catheter put in too for about the same length of time and I can kinda understand alright how they may have been negligent, but there was no pinching or discomfort once it was in, and taking it out was like I was after getting the tip caught in the zip of my pants, that sort of sensation. I'd never even have thought it was possible before now though to be honest because it's a plastic flexible tube, the skin shouldn't stick to it, and it's put in and taken out by hand, so it's not as though it has to be cut out or anything.
