Insurance Claim - Fender Bender

My car was involved in a very minor incident - fender bender to use an americanism.
It was our fault. Our intention is to let the insurance sort it out - well we're sort of at the mercy of the claimant anyway.
As we're claiming we're definitely going to get roasted for insurance next year - should I have my car repaired as well (in for a penny and all) - my original consideration was just get yer mans car fixed and repair my own as and when I can.
