Hyrbrid Bike

'm looking to get a bike to up my excersise(part of loosing weight) and I'm not sure what to get....

I'm going to be using it on mainly on Dublin roads and backroad, but if my fitness gets to a decent level I might be looking at longer trips/entering long cycles.

looking prob to get a hybrid race/mountain bike with disc braked , suspension etc budget is 1000 euro

But if you are going to be using it entirely on roads and back roads why consider a mountain bike/suspension at all? You should be looking at a road bike. It is the best option for what you described.

You should get a road bike. Even if you go for a hybrid don't go near suspension unless oyu want to use it off-road. It adds weight, wastes energy and is not just pointless but counterproductive on the roads.

If you are going for disc brakes make sure you get hydraullic rather than cable brakes. Which should be doable on your budget.
