Is there a service/site that allows you to look up someone's criminal records like convictions in Ireland? You can do this in most states in the USA, sometimes you have to pay a bit, but it's allowed. Not sure here. Do employers perform criminal background checks in Ireland?

    Thanks

Garda vetting for working in security companies, with children etc. Compulsory criminal background history check.

Is there a way to look up historical (last 20 years or so), as a third party? Or is the only way through the Garda? Thanks for the reply

You have to go through the guards. And you can only do it if you are the person concerned, or if you have their authorisation.
