Hi all, myself, hubby and the kids are going on our first family holiday this summer. The kids are 4(girl)+7(boy). Just looking for some advice on what to pack as in clothes. The two of them are V active and we'll probably spend most days at the pool or beach. We are going to salou for a wk. Might do a day trip to Barcelona. Myself and hubby I presume will b in shorts and vests during the day but what about the evening/night? Any other travel tips are welcome and other travel essentials also. Thanks.

You might price tickets to Portaventura before you go great theme part, if it's the summer months it will be warm so ts and short for the kids. Maybe something long sleeve for the evening. Barcelona is a nice day trip excellent Aquarium in the harbour. Take a walk up the Ramblas but watch out for pickpockets, also try Tarragona for a day trip smaller city but closer to Salou but still nice.

Pack light. You (and the girls) will probably only wear half of what you think you need to bring.

Swimwear, lightweight shorts & Ts, sun dresses & sandles for the girls. Some of those would work at night too. Cardigan or lightweight hoody for at night just in case. Similar suggestions for adults. Salou is very much aimed at families so you shouldn't need to dress up for dinner unless you really want to.

There's a couple of Decathlon shops in Salou. Small one on the prom & big one up past Portaventura. Decathlon is great for cheap kids clothes.

Don't know where you're staying but some places will have laundry facilities.

+1 for Portaventura (& Ferrari Land). Portaventura is great for all ages but found out yesterday that Ferrari Land will have a new kids area from 20th April.

For tours Planabus have coach trips to Barcelona, Monserrat, Cava vineyards and even Andorra.
