Why would my Whirlpool washing machine be leaking from the filter housing, it's totally clear of debris!?

if it is leaking from the filter after refitting there is something stopping it from seating properly or the o ring has become distorted. have a look into the pump body as a bit of gravel/grit may have dropped down, otherwise try a bit of silicone on the filter seal, if it cures it leave it be as the silicone wont glue it permanently
