Trying to get my deceased mother's water refund returned

I contacted IW to get a refund of my deceased mother's water payments. I rang the contact number. I was told to send a copy of my mother's Will. This was very upsetting as her Will contains sensitive and confidential information. So I left it as it was too distressing.
Recently I saw information in the media that a large number of refunds had not been returned as IW could not contact people. I had contacted IW about my deceased mother's refund and was asked to do something very distressing. What is the process for a family to get a deceased person's refunds returned?

Copy of the will?!? If a copy of the death certificate isn't enough for IW, I'd be interested to know why not. It's enough for everybody else.

I think it was to prove that I was one of the executors!

Actually, that makes sense. Send them a redacted photocopy. Black marker through everything that's none of their business. That'd be everything except the list of executors, the statement that the document is your mothers lest will and testament, and the last page with the signatures.

    Sorry for your loss.
