    Im working in a small cafe for the past 3 years . lately the bosses wife has taken over and as summer and busy season will be starting soon she has hired a new girl . the problem is shes on minimum wage and i'm not. and now for the third week shes getting in excess of 30 hrs a week and i'm down to 16hrs. I was 25+ There is no talking to the boss as she is not interested in listening.
    My question is, is this legal for my hours to be cut to give hours to the cheaper employee?

    None of us have a contract unfortunately, just a verbal .
