I want to paint some of the walls in my house grey.
    Grey is obviously very fashionable.
Everyone else seems to paint their walls grey with ease.
But every tester pot of grey I get looks blue. Like literally blue. I have tried so many.
Can anyone advise me on a very light shade of grey. As in the name of the paint.
    Thanks

Dulux Dapple Grey and Dulux Calm Cloud.
    Both very un-blue!

I find if you paint a small sample section of a wall in your tester colour, the background colour distorts your perception of the sample colour.

Google farrow and ball hardwick white. Its a bit on the pricey side but worth the money. Don't bother getting a colourtrend copy (as in, give them the farrow and ball name and ask for a copy of it - it can be markedly different)

    Colortrend Old Bone
We have it in the Ceramic Matt finish
Grey with a hint of brown so works well with our wooden floors

Thanks so much for all the suggestions.
Follow up question.... what colour to paint the wardrobes?
White makes the grey look washed out+++ and it kinda clashes with the grey.

We used French White with the Old Bone

French White practically works with any colour

There are many other variants of white from different suppliers

If you are near Celbridge, you could drop into Colortrend and they will help you pick out colours
