My wife's 2010 Megane lately has not autolocked itself a few times when she walks away with the Keycard in her bag.

She assures me the doors and boot are all closed properly, anyone had issues like this with theirs?

    So it works sometimes?
Does it make any (clicking) noise?
What does she do when it does not work?

    Does unlock always work?

Did you try disable and enable it again?

Put the key in the slot in the dash next time you start it. I noticed on the mothers one if you use the button to open or close the car it won't open or close automatically again till its reset by using the card in the slot.

    Thanks for the reply guys.

When is does not work, she has not noticed until she gets back to the car :o

We know about the part that it will not work, if you press any of the keys on the keypad, I have a Renault too and mine works flawlessly .

She assures me, she gets out of the car as normal and walks away, and when she gets back its not locked.

It does work most of the time though?

Instead of using the keyless entry she can just start using the buttons on the card.

Try keycard in, engine running. Press and hold lock button (red) until bleep confirmation toggles keyless entry on and off.
    Check your manual.

Cheers, will try that later and report back, she will never do without it, as she would then have to search for her keycard in her handbag every time :D

Ok just to update we found the problem, my wife carries a blanket which is on the parcel shelf in her car, what seems to be happening is that was causing the boot not to close properly and as a result the car will not lock.

Also the suggestion above only disables the autolock of the doors when the car gets moving, not when you leave the car, but thanks for the suggestions.

Best feeling is when the fix doesn't cost anything :)
