I go to the gym but always shower at home, the gym only has one shower shower and I only live a short drive from the gym. I neither bring a back with me I wear my gym clothes going in and out of the gym as I don’t sweat easy. Anyone else?

I always shower at the gym, my gym also has a pool so I usually go for a dip after the gym. I like the idea of going in fresh and coming out fresh although a lot of people in my gym seem to do the same as yourself OP

You should really bring your back.

    Just in case.

I showered at the gym. I love the feeling of walking out into the fresh air after a warm steam room and shower.

I shower at home, sometimes after a surf I'll stop off at a hotel, wink at the receptionist and take a shower and off into the sunset after, without the receptionist of course.

They never ask are you a member.

    I feel guilty sometimes

Always at home. I'm like the OP, I go in my gym clothes, do my workouts and whatnot, go home and shower.

I hate getting dressed in a changing room, my hair is halfway down my back so I either have to use their crappy hairdryers for 30 minutes or leave it wet and soak my fresh clothes. Also the gym/pool changing rooms are roasting so I sweat trying to get dressed in the tiny changing room.

My gym is in my basement.

Usually the gym, the showers have great pressure and they're nice. Sometimes I'm too tired and lazy afterwards though so if I'm driving home and not getting a bus I'll just shower at home

Gym. But sometimes, after I cycle I drive to gym for swim, sauna, shower so it's the reverse of those that shower at home after exercising at gym.

A place where people gather to take instagram to take pictures of themselves and a place of worship for various body parts including legs, arms etc.

    I shower at home.
Mostly because I don't go to the gym.
And they'd probably find it strange if I turned up everyday, just to shower

My old gym had an amazing sauna so I'd always shower there, My new gym has just one shower room separate from the changing rooms and there can be a queue, so I usually shower at home now. Well, I will when I get back to it.

Our gym don't like you going in, just to use the showers, so home for me.

I have been tempted. no shower here or bath;although the council have promised to instal a bath I am not holding my breath after the 5 month power delay... I am used to washing in a big bucket and it works fine.. ( Will die of shock if they suddenly turn up  )

There are no showers in the bog, unless it rains.
I get a great workout though, for free.

Depends on how much time pressure I'm under.

I prefer to shower at the gym after having used the steam room.

This fear of sweat people have. Fresh sweat does not smell.

It's also best to sweat out before showering.

Showering after a workout is before you've stopped sweating.

I find that not going to a gym saves even more time. Sitting down and eating time.

There's no worse feeling than having a shower after the gym, toweling off, getting dressed and starting a fresh sweat out of the blue for no reason.

at the gym I wash myself with a rag on a stick

I find the shower gyms icky, and have a thing about public showers generally (people are just gross, man) so I'll always shower at home instead.

Ah, so would you be one of those that just goes to pose and take photos of yourself?

If you put a bit of effort in, you'd probably find that you would sweat quite a bit

I used to shower in the Gym, but then I thought wouldn't it be easier to just wait until I got home. I wouldn't have to bring a gym bag with me with a spare change of clothes, and go through the process of packing that bag, and then unpacking it when I got home. So now I shower at home instead.

Do you work out in the clothes which you have been wearing all day?

Home because the mens changing rooms smell foul

I wear workout gear when using the gym and then change into my casual clothes after my shower.

OK, so you "tog out" for the gym St home and then return to shower? Makes sense in that case.

I was thinking from the perspective of going to the gym on way to or from work.

    I don’t sweat easy.

Obligatory 'YOU'RE NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH!' post.

That is true, but what I find is the seat belt starts to stink later.

I'm a member of two gyms. One doesn't have showers so I have to drive home before showering. The leather seats get a quick wipe when I get out, but the seat belt, being fabric, tends to absorb the sweat and get stinky unless I put a towel or something between me and it.

At the other gym I usually finish with a few lazy lengths of the pool after showering so I'm not still hot and sweaty when I shower after the pool.

    Shower in the gym.

Don't have to worry about heating water (in apartment without electic shower), or about cleaning up the main bathroom after showering.

Easier and quicker to deal with the shower in the gym than at home.

No Gym within 25 miles of where I live so I run from home and after 20 or 30 minutes I get home and so I always shower at home.
