Looking to build a rig that will be used for general PC usage (email, web browsing, visual studio dev as well as occasional FPS gaming which I'd like to do at a good res). Am happy enough with 1080p but would ideally like to be able to max out most current game settings within that res.

I was thinking an i5 with a GTX 1060 6gb should cut it but am open to opinions. Not interested in paying hundreds more for a small percentage gain.

    1. What is your budget? 1000. This is flexible within a couple of hundred.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the Pc? General usage, development and gaming.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Yes, SSD and HDD, wifi card, OS, keyboard, mouse

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. 24" or bigger 1080p ideally 27" and nice looking. Ideally also a monitor arm.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Have most peripherals currently.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

    8. How can you pay? Card

    9. When are you purchasing? Next few weeks

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based?
