    Are there any dealers in this country like webuyanycar.com?

    I have a 2008 Passat to sell and expect it will take some time as there appears to be thousands of 08 Passats out there!

    Don't waste your time- remember - they expect to make money selling your car to the same people you could be selling it to.

    If you have to get rid of it asap and are willing take a big loss then go ahead.
    If you can, sell privately or trade it in when buying a new car.

    I sold my car to a crowd in Tralee that do this. I didn't want to exchange as I was buying from UK.
    I got probably less than a private sale, but more than the exchange would have been had I bought a car in Ireland.
    I also advertised it myself and had no interest so it was a last resort but I ended up happy.

    Was offered €700-€1200 for a VW Passat 2008, 160,000 miles, due service, EGR gone.

    If it were in good nick it could go for €3500. With the work due I'd sell for €2000-€2500.

    I politely declined the offer.

    EP mooney offered me I think 7-8k for a 4 year old A6... they were selling privately for about 20-22k at the time.
