Peugeot 206 swooshing sound

When the weather was bad a few weeks ago my misses put a kettle of hot water over the windscreen to get rid of the frost/ice. Since then there has been a swooshing sound coming from behind the dash I presume it's the water trapped. Anyone know how I can get rid of this sound and let the water run free?
