My wall caps need repainting. They suffer from Algee and moss build up which I have to power wash off once a year. This leaves green staining so I’m looking for recommendations on what is the best exterior emulsion to use that maybe will resist staining and leave it easier to keep clean. Also would it be worth polybonding the caps first

Clean the pier caps with bleach before painting. Apply plenty, leave for a few days and scrub off.
Most exterior paint comes with anti algae additives but it's not enough, you can buy some from any decent paint supplier or hardware store and mix it in with the paint. My painter did it before painting my house and no return of any algae which had been all over the previous paint.
