You're putting petrol in a diesel mate.

Thank you for your joke, ED_E, unfortunately this doesn't help.

I'd guess you know about WAN, so if you want to help me you are more than welcome.

    I found that
    http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/DSL-302G/Router_Files/home/hag/help/eoa.ssi
    Ethernet-over-ATM
PPP vs. EOA: Your ISP may use a protocol other than EOA for communication with your [Productname], such as the point-to-point protocol (PPP). One type of PPP, named PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), actually works "on top" of the EOA protocol. The other type, PPP over ATM (PPPoA), does not. However, if your ISP uses either type of PPP, you do not need to separately create an EOA interface. See the PPP help topic for instructions on creating or configuring a PPP interface.
    Informative quote but not helping

    Edit:
Eircom In April 2009 Eircom, the Irish incumbent Launched 24 Mbit/s and 12 Mbit/s Annex M Services on 100 of its 1,200 exchanges with another 200 smaller exchanges to follow by year end 2009. In January 2010, eircom launched a 24 Mbit/s ADSL2+ Residential Service using Annex A Profile on the same 100 exchanges. By year end 2012 they finally reached 300 exchanges.
    Annex A in all Ireland?

Unfortunately it does, you've just completely missed the point.

You're trying to use VDSL in an ADSL port. The only option you have is to bridge the F2000 to it or buy a new unit that is compatible with the service you've subscribed to.

Meanwhile, I had lot of reading and understood that should not be compatible.
    But I did a try with the TP-Link TD-W8970.
Now it's working with the config
    DSL
    Annex: B (All)
    Tone: Auto
    Encapsulation mode: PTM/EFM
    DSL line mode: VDSL

    WAN
    Protocol: PPPoE
    PAP/CHAP username
    PAP/CHAP password
    Access Concentrator: auto
    Service Name: auto

Not working with Annex M (All)
As there is "DSL line mode: VDSL" I'd guess there is a compatibility.
I don't know if this setting will work for long but it's very good. With 3 different sites I have
    Download 27-29Mb/s
    Upload 6-7Mb/s
    DSL Status

    DSL Status: UP
    Line State: showtime_tc_sync [0x801]
    Line Mode: G.993.2 (VDSL2)
    Annex: B
    Profile: 8b

    Max. Attainable Data Rate (ATTNDR): 35.466 Mb/s / 7.643 Mb/s
    Latency: 0.13 ms / 0.0 ms
Line Attenuation (LATN): 24.5 dB / 28.7 dB
Signal Attenuation (SATN): 23.6 dB / 28.4 dB
Noise Margin (SNR): 8.5 dB / 6.1 dB
    Aggregate Transmit Power(ACTATP): 7.6 dB / 14.3 dB

    Unavailable Seconds (UAS): 47 / 47
Header Error Code Errors (HEC): 0 / 0
    Non Pre-emtive CRC errors (CRC_P): 0 / 0
    Pre-emtive CRC errors (CRCP_P): 0 / 0
    Line Uptime: 35m 37s
ATU-C System Vendor ID: Broadcom 164.149
Power Management Mode: L0 - Synchronized

This is the speeds I was told by Eir in my country house
Anyway I'll keep eir modem close to hand

Maybe this could help other with ADSL modem supported by OpenWRT to use it again.

    Thank you for your help
