Hi, we got a new pup and we can't take him to public places until his last injection. We had a dog for twelve years but passed away over Christmas. Will it be safe for the pup to have the run of the back garden before his final injection?

Yep - I let mine out in the garden when they were that small. You can take the pup out and about too and carry it around e.g. if you want to get it used to traffic noises, the bin truck when it comes etc etc

and yes, as TK123 says, get it out and about to start getting used to streets/noises and going in the car etc etc

Is there a risk of parvo from foxes in a back garden?

Having said that, I started toilet training foster puppies after their first vaccs, but I was reasonably certain that the local foxes avoid our house because of my own dogs being around (and the garden is reasonably well fenced).

Obviously nothing to worry about if you don't have neighbourhood foxes OP!
