When your dad dies his pensions will die with him ( I’m assuming your fathers wife is dead).
If you are still alive when your father dies then you will be his next of kin so you will be financially responsible for his funeral.
If you do not have the means to pay for his funeral then you can go to the CWO with a copy of the bill and he/she will examine your own financial circumstances and may give you a payment towards the bill.
Has your dad made a will recently?
It would be helpful if he could make a list of where you can find important documents like the deeds to his house, bank/building society/credit union/ post office accounts , life insurance, house insurance etc.

I presume you mean you're an only child?

You only get whatever your father bequeaths to you. His state pension and essential needs payment die with him.

yes im an only child , i thought the ENP was giving to you for six weeks after a parent dies ?? and surely his pension saved will be giving to next of kin

Do you mean the money from his pension that he saved? As in his savings?

Your dads wife would get his 6 weeks extra pension payment after he passes away but you as daughter wont get that payment, its only for partners

An ENP is not a pension. It’s a once off payment called, in full, an essential/exceptional needs payment.
You apply for it when something unexpected like a fire or a flood or a funeral happens that you can’t plan and save up for.
You won’t get your dads pension for 6 weeks after his death.

She will if she was his carer

Hi OP. If you are talking about a private pension fund he has then you need to talk to a solicitor, with your father, about his will and/or a financial planner.

State pension dies with him, so does a private pension in many cases depending on options he chose.

I've done a good bit of work on inheritance and succession planning as a financial advisor and I don't recommend taking advice on an internet forum. It's a minefield. Every case is different, don't take any advice given here as gospel and make any decisions based on it. Could be disastrous. I've seen some completely incorrect advice being given on boards before around things like this.
