Council and Welfare

    hi again can someone tell me do the council and welfare talk to each other i registered my baby with them and now my maternity benefit only reflects the payment for the child whereas last week there was no problem it is a coincidence or a mistake by the welfare i submitted a transfer request to go from the 1 bed apt im in to a 2 bed there was no notice of any form from the welfare

    How many children do you have including your new baby, how much maternity benefit did you get last week and how much did you get this week?
    Are you getting any other SW payments apart from child benefit?

    just 1 child i got 31.80 for baby which is the weekly rate for a dependent child i also get fis and this payment was as normal this week as it was on thursday and that was when i gave my transfer request to the council and was paid the 31.80 this morning i am trying to figure out do the council call up the welfare to confirm this or do they accept the my document as proof of income i have tried to google it and cant find anything to say the council calling up the welfare to confirm does actually happen i now have to wait until monday to ring up and see why the personal rate for myself was not paid but it was for baby

    Post is a bit confusing, can you explain the different payments and amounts you got before and what you got most recently where you think there is a mistake?
