Just a query if anyone would know the answer to or experienced it before. Wit the new leave year for most civil servant departments starting On April 1st if you could promoted and the annual leave entitlement for the new position was more then the current role your in what happens if you for example carried forward 10 days to the new leave year? Is your new leave entitlement calculated on a pro rata basis and you would lose days if you didn't take the 10 days leave before you commenced in your new promoted grade. I hope this makes sense.

Annual leave accrued is a statutory right, if your current contract allowed you to carry it over, your new contract cannot take it away.
