waste water drain outside house

I live in a group of 9 semi detached houses, with one detached in the middle, built 15 years. We share an area in front where there are 4 or 5 waste water drains. None of these are on the private gardens of any house. One of the drains is almost full to the top with sediment, leaves, stones etc so excess rainwater cannot drain. One neighbour is blaming another as they recently power hosed their driveway, claiming the debris has caused the blockage.  No way that amount of muck came off, but my question is.. Whose responsible for getting the drain cleared? Thanks.

    Hi Mrscooper2,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

If it is a storm water drain that is blocked, then you will have to contact your Local Authorities, as storm drain maintenance remains within their remit.

However, if there is a blocked sewer pipe in a public area we can investigate this on your behalf.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Kind Regards,
    Siobhan
