Benefits after redundancy

    If made redundant (with payoff) after 20 years service.What can a 40 year old expect by way of unemployment or other benefits.?And how long will benefits last?

    My advice would be to book an appointment with your local Citizens Advice. Really disappointing that your old employer never got an expert in to discuss everything with all those staff he was letting go. Especially staff like yourself with 20 years service.

    I don’t know why you think this but anyway....
    OP if your redundancy package is less than 50000 then you will get 9 months JSB.
    How much depends on who and how many your dependents are.
    If it’s more than 50000 then you will be disqualified for so many weeks depending on how much more.
