    So our initial plan was to have Burgundy bridesmaids dresses. But we have found one that is Gold and Beige that we are going to go with instead.

    My dress is a Caramel.

    I am thinking of burgundy still but any other suggestions on colours for tie/dickybow for himself.

    The important questions here are;

    1) What colour is his suit, shirt and shoes?
    2) What does he want to wear?
    3) What colours are his groomsmen wearing?

    There's no rule whatsoever that the groom has to match the bridesmaids in any way. I actually think it looks great when the groom stands out, and the groomsmen are more "matchy" with the bridesmaids.

    Burgundy is a great colour that goes with 99% of possible suits, especially if the base is a white shirt. So its a good default, but will look a bit better with blues and greys.

    Hubby wore a grey suit with a silver tie. BM were in a pink/purple!

    Well he has a light grey suit and probably white shirt.
    He hasn't really said what he wants as he was more focusing on matching the bridesmaids. Bestmen will be wearing same as him but with a tie instead of bow tie.

    Think sticking with burgundy prob will be best.

    Thanks.
