uPVC window not sealing properly when closed

    Hi there,

    Hope you're all well!

My uPVC windows don't seem to seal properly when closed. The hinges on the top and bottom with the handle on the side - when closed there is a gap between the actual window and the frame on the side opposite the handle, mostly however in the bottom corner and the side. The top corner, oddly seems pretty much fine.

Now I think (may well be wrong!) this is due to the hinges and how they are screwed in. Both hinges start on the plastic track (not sure the proper term, but the plastic track where they are typically screwed into in the frame) however are then screwed and partially bent off of the track inwards toward the frame. Is this what is likely to be causing it? I'm not sure why they would have been installed like this in the first place though?

Apologies if that makes little sense - I don't think I'm able to post pictures yet unfortunately?

Please let me know if you have any thoughts! Appreciate the help in advance :)
