    They'll be 100% the same.

To use freesat you have to set your country to UK when installing so doesn't matter where you buy.

This does mean that you will have to edit the Saorview channels to put them in the correct order but it's easy to do on the LG

I’m planning to get one of these LG 43” for the house.

Just wondering if I buy the model from the UK either John Lewis or store up in Ulster (NI) versus buying the model down here in the likes of Harvey Norman’s is there a difference if freesat is already built in for the epg?

Are both models the exact same generally regardless of where I buy it?

The 7 day EPG would be the biggest deals for me as current LG tv I have the epg only ever really shows now & next really..

How does your EPG work? Do you get the full 7 day schedule?

    Cheers

Is it Freeview TV not Freesat?

It has both, Freeview output will get you Saorview here.

Freesat works also with the likes of a standard Sky dish.

You just need to swap between output on the tv.

Does anyone knows if the new LGs (or any tv with freesat and saorview) can record a freesat channels (for example BBC1) and watch a second one? whether this second one is Freesat or Saorview? Can you record a program by selecting it on the epg for both (Freesator Saorview) ? and pause rewind live tv (Freesator Saorview)?

    thanks

They are single satellite tuners so no. Recording unattended possibly. The Saorview and Freesat menus are seperate.

You are looking for a box for the functionality that you are talking about.

Only certain LGs have the freesat software, the rest just have FTA satellite so not organised channel list nor 7 day epg.
