I'm looking for an app to SD app for my mother's android phone, I tried a few last night and just couldn't get them to work, it kept asking me to change some settings and no matter what I did I'd no joy.
Could anyone recommend an app that works off the bat, no need to change any settings?

It may depend on what version of Android its running before it will work. Some manufacture versions of ROM's dont allow it. What is the phone ?

    I think it's a Samsung note 5, definitely a Samsung anyway.
It only has 8g of internal memory, got a 32g SD card to add to it.

I had installed "Android Assistant" on my galaxy S1 way back when I needed it to clear RAM via it's built in "System Boost" function and to view/kill processes that were horsing my memory out of it.

There are a number of other functions in there, one of which is an "App2SD" function that has worked on every version of Android up to Nougat (7.0) for me. Its a bit slow, as you can only do one at a time but it works.

With only 8GB you might want to consider that phone end of life.

If the phone is anyway slow then I'd hazard a guess and say apps to SD will cripple it.

Nonetheless it's worth trying it anyhow first before coming to that conclusion.

It might be worth checking the exact model of the phone and looking on XDA Developers for a recommended solution.

    That's unfortunate, didn't know that.
Is there any way of deleting apps that came pre installed with the phone, that would free up a lot of space?
