Margot Robbie looks like her brother in a wig. How do guys date girls that look like their brothers or father? It would creep me out like that poster on the window of Tesco Thurles a few years ago. F&F clothing with a husband and wife that looked the same. Can’t find a link to it but they were like blonde VanHoutens.

Am I the only one who doesn't get this? I look more similar to my mother than my father, my wife looks more similar to her father than her mother. You'd have no problem whatsoever discerning what gender we all are in each case but as I got 50% of my genes from my mother and she got 50% from her father, is it really that much of a stretch to think we might look roughly similar to the parent of the opposite gender to ourselves?

Incidentally, would I date someone with the same name as my mother? Are we talking first names here? If yes, then I don't think I'd have a problem with it, I might find it strange at first, though, as another poster said, as I've always called her Mum I'm not even sure I would. If you're talking about the same maiden name or even the same surname as myself, well yes I would. It might make me a bit more inquisitive as to who exactly the girl in question was related to but if I found no stumbling blocks there then what's the issue?

This is the part I really don't understand. Would I go to bed with a woman who looked so similar to her father that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, no I wouldn't. If I had the opportunity to go to bed with Mila Kunis and just before jumping at the chance I happened to see that she strikes more of a resemblance to her father than her mother... well... as you said, you really need an answer?

That's the million dollar question about this whole question though. Personally, I've had a look at pictures of Hogan's daughter, which I never realised he had though that's hardly surprising given that I know little about the guy other than he had a dust up with Rocky, and she doesn't do anything for me but I can see how she would for others whilst still bearing a resemblance to her father. That's the thing though, are we talking about women who look like their fathers but are obviously female or are we talking about women who look so much like their fathers as to make their gender something of debate on first sight?

I do have a completely irrational rule that I would not date someone of a particular surname because of a historical event where people of that surname massacred people of mine whilst my lot were sleeping and so, ludicrously, I would never sleep around that person. As I said, it is completely irrational and ludicrous, but other than that, somebody who bore a resemblance to their father whilst being obviously female wouldn't cause me any difficulties (as I said already, I'm married to such a person).

If I had the chance to date a girl like Margot Robbie, I'd take that opportunity with both hands.

I wouldnt let a minor detail like "she looks like a family member" get in the way

I have faced this quandary a couple of times in my life.

For instance I went to school with a lad for years, besties, ended up sharing a house in college. His sister came on to me one night, they are very similar looking. Much as I would normally get up on a hairy had with a few pints, I declined as it would feel to weird

met a girl, started dating, found out later she has a twin brother who looks very similar. not a problem with this. She is just a female version of him.

I'll go one step further, if my girlfriends father or brother looked like Margot Robbie, I'd ride them in a heartbeat. I'm shallow like that. Margot is hot as fúck (although not when she's dressed as Tonya Harding, I'm thinking more wolf of wall street Margot;))

I find them easy enough to keep mentally separate. I'm hardly ever seized by an overwhelming desire to motorboat the bejaysus out of my ma for example.
