I was curious about this mini series, and at the end of the three programmes I decided I loved it. A bit Fr Ted in genre. I really hope it continues as I need to know what the smuggler will smuggle next!

I also enjoyed this show, and I see it has been recommissioned for another five episodes (along with some other BBC NI comedies, details in this link)

Maybe they will expand on the characters a bit more this time, they might struggle to get enough material about the border issues.

    Great, looking forward to it.

I thought it was appallingly bad.

Made 'Give My Head Peace' look like a gargantuan work of comedic genius.

Given the way thing have gone the last few days, feels like there's little to laugh about the border coming back. Appreciate that's a bit curmudgeonly of me, but just finding the comedy in this scenario anymore :(

It is hard to see humour in the current situation.

Watched it this morning, didn't think it was great at all.

I was looking forward to seeing the new series. Have to say I'm a tad disappointed, not with the performances but with the writing. Seems to be going down the route of Mrs Brown and I didn't think it was that necessary really.

It could have been so much better, you only have to look at such shows as 'Stop, Search, Seize' for material, watched a show tonight where a lad coming down from NIRL had his van running on green diesel, customs wanted €5k off him at 7am in cold hard cash and he was having none of it, pure gold.

How did they fook this up so much, seriously it had gold potential.

I thought the first episode was bad but then I thought it began to get back to its original form. I still like it!! There are one or two changes I'd like to see though. I'm really not sure of the guy with the glasses in the big chair, what is his function, and unfortunately my Dublin ears can't make out his NI accent, its very heavy but that's probably just me? The 'Jack Sparrow' bit made me laugh. And Michael the smuggler, his role could be expanded and used more.
