Vokera and attic tank

Just wondering if it were unusual to have no tank at all in our plumbing system. I believe the Vokera CCB which we have installed approx 2 years runs off the mains water supply but I've just discovered that the plumber completely decommissioned the tank in the attic after our mains was shut off recently and we only got one flush out of our toilets?
I just thought that sounded odd.
Having a bit of pressure top up trouble with the Vokera too, every three weeks or so we need to introduce more water into the system, seems we have a leak and want to get to the bottom.

Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you are in Dublin you are supposed to have a supply in the attic. By doing away with the attic tank the plumber also did away with the need for a pump on your system. This saved you a fair bit of money at time of installation

Combi boilers have been popular in the UK long before here and its common there not only to have an attic tank

Thanks for the reply mate... I often wondered why we had no pump, every other apartment we lived in had one, I was never given the option but I suppose at the time of installation I was happy with the best quote. Had no idea this was the reason why.
I'm going to have another plumber come in to have a look to see if we can rectify at a reasonable cost.
