Buying with cash, then releasing equity

    Hi all,

Any experience with buying for cash and then taking an equity release mortgage?

I'm considering making a cash purchase of a property, with a view to sorting out a planning issue and then (if that all goes OK) taking an equity release mortgage to take around 50% of the cash back out.

I'd be very interested to hear if anyone has some insight on such.

    Thanks,
    Con
