    Hi
We live overseas and are getting our wedding license today in Dublin. I'm Irish, she's not. My birth cert is at my parents down the country.

It says to bring both original and copy of both our birth certs which she has but I don't.
Will they ask me for the original?
    Anything I can do?
Someone said something about getting a new cert in joyce house
We're getting married in June and not back in the country until 8 days before
    Thank you

You can get your birth cert over the counter in any centre in Ireland regardless of where you were born.
    €20.
Then just make a photocopy of it too and your good to go.
    Here are the centers:

    Seriously?
    Thanks!
Do I claim I lost my own one or how does that work?

Can I have done in a day?

There can be a bit of a wait, but it's just a matter of providing them with the info and they'll create official copies for you.

You don't need to claim yours is lost, you can have as many official copies of your birth certificate as you like.

Just bring a rake of identification with you - passport, tax certificate, etc.

There’s no questions asked about why you need one. It’ll be printed off in minutes.

A birth Cert is a public document so I could go in and get a copy of anyone's birth Cert without identification. You can also order them online without being asked for ID.
