I have got rid of my slide door porch and pushed my front door out flush with the wall. I’m now left with an extra bit on the hall 3 foot x 6 foot. The wood is perfect in the hall and throughout the house but I’d never get a match for it. Should I Tile this bit at the front Door on entry. If so what type ? The guy putting…

Should I Tile this bit at the front Door on entry. If so what type ? The guy putting in door said I need a tile 15mm thick. I didn’t want to contradict him but say I find a tile I like that’s say 9 Mm could he put something down underneath to give it extra height ?
