Is anyone aware of possibilities for a group of 20-25 in or close enough to Galway City?

Not close to the city, but great publicity from the animal welfare organisations there.

Contact the charities which your company or group would like to be associated with, and ask them what needs doing.

It would help them if you could give some idea of the skills your group has and would be willing to use in this exercise. (eg just because they're all Java developers, they may not want to spend a day writing code for a non-profit's website ... because they know "who will maintain it?" - but if two ore three have painting / decorating experience, maybe there's a house needs fixing up, etc).

Other than that, most charities that do street collections need volunteers - but that may not have the kind of team-building you're looking for.
