Missing minutes on Dave/Netflix

Was just watching an old repeat on Dave and got to thinking. The repeats on Dave are all an hour, including ads. So probably under 50 minutes once the ads have been removed. Also, the episodes on Netflix are all around 52 minutes.

The original episodes were a full hour, and often came in at 62 minutes or more. So there must be at least 10 minutes missing from the Dave/Netflix versions. It doesn't seem to be the SIARPC unfortunately. Do they edit segments down, or just drop segments entirely. Any ideas?

I think the best way of seeing this is to compare the US Special DVD with the full broadcast version available on dailymotion

It's not a regular episode obviously, but you can see the few seconds here and there that they've cut away, which end up being a few minutes' worth. I imagine Dave do something very similar.

It's not Dave that does the cutting, it is BBC Worldwide that do it so it can be sold to commercial television channels.
